A Matter of Phrase
In speech, a phrase is set off by pauses and patterns. Written words often have an illusion of clarity, of comfortable flatness. Everyday language, however, is rarely as road-sign-straightforward but rather multidimensional, containing many possible perspectives. Full of blips and inconsistencies, the root of human interaction consists of the valleys and plateaus that keep us perpetually translating.
